Mexico Hearing Mission – April 2011

April 2011; Matamoros, Monterrey & San Luis Potosi, Mexico

A team of volunteers from NewSound Hearing Aid Centers traveled to Matamoros, Monterrey and San Luis Potosi for the Mexico hearing mission in April 2011. The team, lead by Starkey Hearing Foundation, provided over 650 hearing aids to impoverished hearing impaired children and adults. “There is an overwhelming sense of privilege to be a part of this effort,” said Randy Schoenborn, president of NewSound Hearing Aid Centers. “It is like having a front-row seat to witnessing lives changed. Children arrive unable to hear, and they leave hearing. The emotion is uncontainable.”
